Adhering Agents in Maize Seed Pelletizing

چکیده
The maize very important role in the Brazilian economy because it has a high commercial value, having great production due to its ability adapt different edaphoclimatic conditions. Family farming produces seeds from local varieties, called creole seeds. This type of seed is resistant keeps relevant characteristics left as an inheritance ancestors, who, free charge, performed environmental service for preservation and perpetuation this genetic heritage. Therefore, work had evaluate effect adherent agents palm extract, aloe vera extract sugar solution pelleting corn with rock dust. was carried out Plant Propagation Laboratory belonging Campus Engineering Agricultural Sciences Federal University Alagoas. As were used: water, solution. Rock dust (MB-4) used coating. evaluated parameters were: water content, weight thousand seeds, first germination count, germination, speed index, average time, uncertainty, length dry mass root aerial part. Palm most efficient agent pelletizing

The Maize Seed Anatomy of the Mature Maize Seed
The pericarp consist in the transformed wall of the ovary that covers the seed and acts as a protection for the embryo and endosperm. It takes the place of the seed coats or integuments in the ordinary seeds, which in maize are reduced to unnoticeable remnants in the mature kernel. A thin, suberized nucellar membrane derived from the outer epidermal wall of the nucellus persists as a continuous...

Two lines of Zea mays were developed as a short-generation model for maize. The Fast-Flowering Mini-Maize (FFMM) lines A and B are robust inbred lines with a significantly shorter generation time, much smaller stature, and better greenhouse adaptation than traditional maize varieties. Five generations a year are typical. FFMM is the result of a modified double-cross hybrid between four fast-flo...

Kobe Steel's history of pelletizing plants began when the company built a plant at its Kobe Works in 1966. This paper introduces the history of pelletizing plants, including process outlines and the latest achievements in the construction of plants overseas. In the past, plant owners had focused mainly on the quality of the product pellets and plant equipment, as well as the cost of the plants....

Seed production of farmers preferred improved maize varieties under community based seed production(CBSP) group initiated in the hills of Nepal under Hill Maize Research Project in 2000. Trained members of the community group produce improved seeds identified through participatory varietal selection procedures. Despite quantum jump in maize seed production, 14 tons by 7 CBSP groups in 2000 to 1...
متن کاملCytokinins and Their Possible Role in Seed Size and Seed Mass Determination in Maize
One of the richest sources of CKs in various plants species are developing seeds. In fact, zeatin, a major natural CK, was first discovered in developing seeds of maize (Letham, 1963). Not surprisingly, developing seeds of maize, rice and Lupinus albus have played a major role in CK research (reviewed in Emery & Atkins, 2005). A major focus of these studies has been on the possible role of CKs ...
